  2. RADIO CONTACT LOGBOOK records with output to the monitor screen, printer, or
  3. disk file.
  4. The menu choices are:

  6. PRINT THE REPORT           okay, I have made all my range selections and
  7.                            parameters, now generate the report.
  8.  
  9. CHECK PAPER ALIGNMENT      to prepare your printer for a report.
  10.  
  11. SELECT ALTERNATE KEY       when a report is generated, the record numbers
  12.                            are kept in sequential order.  You can specify
  13.                            another key to sort on.  For example, if you
  14.                            select CALL SIGN as your alternate key then
  15.                            QSO CALL SIGNS will be in alphabetical order.
  16.  
  17. RANGE SELECTIONS           to customize your report you may specify what is
  18.                            to be included in the report.  If you only want
  19.                            dates of qso's from 1/5/88 to 1/7/88 (for
  20.                            example in a contest) it is very
  21.                            easy to accomplish by RANGE SELECTIONS.

  26.    REPORT KEY SELECTION.....choose a field to sort on.  If you pick CALL
  27. SIGN then all records reported on will be in alphabetical order by call
  28. sign.

  33. RANGES MENU   Select the range key field.  For example, if you want to
  34.          generate a report on all the contacts with K7IIU specify here.
  35.          For contests, choose DATE as the range key.  For example, if a
  36.          contest lasted from July 7, 1989 to July 9, 1989 then choose DATE
  37.          as your range key to get a report of all QSOs between July 7th and
  38.          July 9th.
  39.          Enter the date in the form YYMMDD not MM/DD/YY for this report.

  63. you chose DATE as your range key, type in the dates in YYMMDD format.  Do
  64. not enter in MM/DD/YY format!!  April 2, 1989 is entered as 890402 and
  65. December 4, 1989 is entered as 891204. The ranges are case sensitive so put
  66. capitol letters where they should be.  If you chose CALL SIGN as your key
  67. and your want your report to list all QSOs from radio operator KR7D enter
  68. FROM: KR7D   TO: KR7D.

  70. DATES enter in the form YYMMDD not MM/DD/YY!!  For example, if you want to
  71. enter January 5, 1989 enter 890105.  This is an excellent way of logging
  72. contests.  Let's say a contest ran from January 5th to January 7th of 1989.
  73. You have already entered all the contacts you lmade in your logbook.  Now
  74. generate a report using DATE as the range key.  Specify FROM: 890105
  75. TO: 890107 and you will get a report on only those contacts for those days!
  76.    If you chose CALL SIGN as your range key and want a report of all
  77. contacts from KR7D specify FROM: KR7D  TO: KR7D.

  79. the key field and you want a report showing all the contacts you made with
  80. K7IIU enter <from:  K7IIU    to:  K7IIU >.  NOTE:  THE RANGES ARE CASE
  81. SENSITIVE WHICH MEANS ENTERING K7iiu will give a different report than
  82. K7IIU.
